Šapice/Claws

Potrebno je :

Testo :                120g maslaca (sobne temperature)
(za 60 kom.)        2 jaja ili 1 jaje + 2 žumanceta
                           3 kašike masti
                           1 vanilin šećer
                           8 kašika šećera
                           1 limun
                           150g orasa, krupnije mlevenih
                           1/2 praška za pecivo
                           soda bikarbona, na vrh noža
                           1 kašika meda
                            brašno, po potrebi

Fil :  2 belanceta
        3 kašike šećera
        5 kašika mlevenih orasa

Ostalo : kalupi za šapice
            kristal ili prah šećer, 2-3 kašike

Priprema :

Testo : Mikserom penasto umutiti maslac, te dodati 2 jaja (ili 1 jaje + 2 žumanceta, ako ćete praviti i fil), mast, vanil šećer i šećer. Kada se i to dobro izmiksa, dodati sok limuna, orase, prašak za pecivo, sodu bikarbonu, med i brašna po potrebi - toliko da testo ne bude pretvrdo, ali i da se ne lepi za ruke.

Od testa praviti kuglice, umočiti u malo brašna, pa puniti kalupe ( sa pobrašnjenom stranom na dole! ) - ne do vrha, jer će testo narasti tokom pečenja.

Fil : belanca viljuškom izraditi sa šećerom, toliko da smesa postane homogena. Dodati mlevene orase i sve sjediniti. Kalupe napuniti testom, malo ga utisnuti prstom, te sipati kašičicu fila.

Peći na 180 stepeni, oko 15 minuta, da blago porumene. Pečene uvaljati u kristal ili prah šećer.

Napomena :

Preporučuje se da se ova poslastica pravi bar dan-dva ranije, jer vremenom postaje ukusnija.

Ingredients :

Dough :                120g butter (room temperature)
(for 60 claws)       2 eggs or 1 egg + 2 egg yolks (if You make it with a filling)
                           3 table spoons of pig grease
                           1 vanilla sugar (20g)
                           8 table spoons of sugar
                           1 lemon
                           150g walnuts, chopped or minced to bigger pieces
                           1/2 bag of baking powder
                           baking soda, just on the tip of a knife
                           1 table spoon of honey
                           wheat flour, as necessary

Filling :  2 egg whites
             3 table spoons of sugar
             5 table spoons of minced walnuts

Other : molds for claws
            powdered sugar, 2-3 table spoons

Preparation :

Dough : whisk the butter using a mixerand then add 2 eggs (or 1 egg + 2 egg yolks), grease, vanilla sugar and sugar. When it is well mixed, add lemon juice, walnuts, baking powder, baking soda, honey and flour as much as necessary - not to make dough too hard but also not to stick on fingers.

Start making balls size of a walnut, stick one half of a ball in a flour, take off excess and fill the molds ( with floured size down! ) - don't fill molds to the top, dough will rise during the baking.

Filling : mix egg whites with sugar, using a fork, just to make it homogenized. Add walnuts and mix it all together. Fill the molds with the dough, press a small hole using a finger and add a tea spoon of filling.

Bake it at 180 C, about 15 minutes, to become slightly brown. Take them out of the mold while hot and roll in powdered sugar.

These cookies should be made day or two before serving, their taste will improve more
